My daily moisturizers: Melvita, L'oreal, Neutrogena.

Hello again! Today I'm going to talk about my moisturizers that I use on a daily basis. I have four of them and switch them every two or three days, so my skin will not get used to one of them. You know, if this happens, your skin can become lazy and then it will not protect itself naturally (That's why it's really bad to start using anti-aging products on young skin, unless you already have wrinkles). So, here are some pictures of my moisturizers. I will leave short reviews for each of them, so you can decide which one(s) might suit you.
Melvita Rose Nectar day cream and Perfecting cream

Well, these moisturizers are both by Melvita, which is a natural/organic cosmetics brand. Rose Nectar cream is intended for sensitive skin, it has several natural ingredients, like Moroccan, Iranian rose, hip oil and rose seed milk that help to repair, soothe, rejuvenate and revitalize skin. 99.68% of the total ingredients are from natural origin. You can look up more detailed description on Melvita's site. About the consistency - it's quite thick, so I use it as a night cream. It definitely cannot be used under makeup unless you have very dry skin. On me it does not absorb quickly.. It's very moisturizing and after applying it my face feels like velvet. The most incredible thing about this cream is its scent. I can't describe how deeply I am in love with it! It smells like million fresh garden roses! I love rose scents, I had several really good department store rose fragrances, but none of them can compare with the amazing fragrance of this cream!
The next cream is Perfecting cream, which I bought in order to get rid of the redness on my face. Well, it accomplished its task quite well! Partly because of its green color I guess. It's also marked as anti-acne cream and has AHAs (fruit acids), which is great! It moisturizes, renews and protects skin thanks to many natural ingredients, like birch sap, linseed, goji berries, raspberry pip oil, green tea, yoghurt and chicory. It's suited for oily and combination skin as it is sebum-regulating and non-comedogenic. It's very thin in consistency and dries to a matte finish when applied. I use it under makeup and it works well! Usually if a cream is "perfecting" or "radiant", it contains shimmery particles in it, but this one doesn't, which I'm very happy about! 98.2% of the total ingredients in this cream are from natural origin. I think that's why it has such a strong grass-like smell. It's not very pleasant, but I don't mind scents, and it disappears after I put it on. I like the performance of this cream a lot, it seemed to help me with pimples and redness.
Rose nectar is on top and Perfecting cream is at the bottom
As for their cost, Rose Nectar is $42.00 and Perfecting cream is $29.00 and you can order them from Melvita's site.

Anyway, here are my other two creams:
L'oreal Skin Genesis and Neutrogena oil-free moisture SPF 35

L'oreal Skin Genesis is not quite a moisturizer, it's more like a base, as it claims to be pore-minimizing skin re-smoother. The consistency of it is very thin and the cream itself has a light fresh fragrance. Sometimes I use it as a makeup base, it  helps to make the surface of my skin very smooth. As for its pore-minimizing quality-I don't really  know, because my pores are already quite small. But what I noticed - it clogs them a little, but not as bad as L'oreal True Match foundation did haha. So, I use it sometimes, especially when I don't use my foundation, I just apply this and some powder on top.
Neutrogena oil-free moisture is my latest purchase, and I'm very happy with it! I had been looking for a good moisturizer with SPF for a long time and I found this! What I like about it : it's oil free, non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic and alcohol-free. It has a scent the same as ordinary spf-creams do. It's I would say of medium thickness, but it absorbs quickly and leaves my face matte and velvety-soft. I use it under makeup and it does not make me oily throughout the day,so I think it's suitable for oily and combination skin. Here are the swatches:
Top: L'oreal, bottom : Neutrogena

I don't remember the cost of the L'oreal cream and Neutrogena costs about $12-14.
Reviewing cosmetic products I don't mean their advertisement, I just want to share my opinion and my personal thoughts with you :)
I hope this helped you! And what are your favorite moisturizers/creams?

German Chocolate Cake

German Chocolate Cake
Yesterday we baked German Chocolate Cake,it was soo tasty! I had never tried it before. (There's only one piece of  cake in the picture, otherwise it would be too little for me haha). It was really easy to cook, as we used Pillsbury cake mix. It's like a dry mixture, you just need to add water, milk, eggs, butter and vanilla. We also layered and topped it with coconut-pecan frosting. Delicious! Though it has one drawback : it's high-caloric, so be careful if you are on a diet :)
Have you tried German Chocolate Cake? Did you like it?

Scream 4 review.

Hey guys, yesterday we went to see Scream 4, so yes, I'd like to share my impressions with you!
Is it supposed to be a scary movie or something?? Really? We laughed at least half of the film, seriously.  Don't get me wrong, I liked it, especially its really unexpected outcome, but I mean if you want to see a scary movie then it's not for you. Yes, there were some scary moments when I kind of started in my seat, but that was only because of the loud sound in the theater. Sometimes I cover my ears with my hands while watching a scary movie(yes, I'm weird),but I didn't even need to do that this time. About the actors: there are famous and permanent Scream movies' actors in the film- Neve Campbell (Sidney Prescott), David Arquette( the cop), Courtney Cox(his wife) and some new ones, for example Emma Roberts (Sidney's cousin, the funniest role). For those, who is interested- there was about one really bloody scene, not counting the scenes when the Ghostface Killer stabs people... So, who might like the film? Those, who want to have fun I guess. My final thoughts: poor creators of Scary movie series-it's going to be very difficult for them to make fun of this already ridiculous scary movie.
Have you seen Scream 4? If yes, what do you think about it? If no, are you going to see it?

My new bag and the look of the day!

Hello! I've recently been to Macy's-was looking for presents for my family and dropped in at their bag department. I wasn't going to buy anything...and then I found a handbag that I really liked. It was perfect: neutral color, middle size, genuine leather..Except for the tag haha. The original price was 150 dollars, but then I noticed that it was at a discount of 30%! I didn't even think - I took it and made my way to the cash register. When the cashier scanned it she told me there was in fact sale 75% off the original price!!!Why?They were just trying to sell out their winter collection. I bought a genuine leather bag for only 42 dollars!Haha, I should be getting used to American sales. Don't think that I'm crazy, indeed, you can't buy a genuine leather bag for such a price in Russia..even if there is a sale. So, here it is, my new love :)
Tignanello handbag

I also took some pictures for you to see how it looks with my jeans outfit. I'm sure it will look good with any color and style clothes.I added my favorite leopard print scarf just for an accent. (I also have leopard print tights which I love and will definitely show them to you one day!)

My favorite Victoria's Secret jeans!

My Lancome purchase: Teint Idole Ultra foundation and L'Absolu Nu lipstick in Beige Tulle

Hi everyone! This post, as you might have already guessed, is going to be about cosmetics. :)
We went to Nordstrom yesterday- I needed Lancome foundation. I tried their sample of Teint Idole Ultra foundation for about 10 days and I really liked it because it has a soft matte finish, exactly what the description says, and it stays on all day without getting oily (I have combination skin and tend to get oily by the end of the day in my T-zone).  Another plus of this foundation is that it's oil- free and non-comedogenic (it won't clog your pores or cause pimples).I was going to buy it and then the sales assistant told me that they had a special offer and with any $50 purchase I could pick out 3 samples. So I had to buy one more product to make it over 50. By the way the foundation costs 42 dollars. I picked out a lipstick from their new collection L'Absolu Nu. The shade I chose was Beige Tulle, I think it was the lightest and the most neutral in the collection. So, here are the pictures and my opinions :)
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra foundation

My shade is Ivoire 3 (Warm). I hate pink undertone in foundations !:))
The foundation does not have SPF, so make sure you apply a moisturizer that contains SPF. You don't want premature wrinkles! ;)

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra foundation
The nice feature-it has a pump!!

Here is the swatch on my hand. I made the second swatch right next to it and blended it out. As you can see it blended with my skin perfectly! I'm very happy about that since I have pretty light skin and it's really difficult for me to find the right shade..As for the consistency - it's quite liquidy, inspite of it being a full-coverage foundation. I don't feel it on my skin at all and it is extremely easy to blend!
Lancome L'Absolu Nu lipstick in Beige Tulle
Ta da! I like the cute rose engraving on the lipstick!:D

With flash. The lipstick is very smooth and creamy like a lipgloss. It has very subtle silver shimmer to it...beautiful! I can describe the shade as beige with pink undertones.

In natural light

I'm a fan of nude/natural lipsticks, so here are some swatches to compare. From top to bottom, left to right : Revlon in Petal, MAC in Creme cup, Lancome L'Absolu Nu in Beige Tulle, L'oreal color riche in Fairest Nude.  With flash.
Natural light

These are the 3 products that I've chosen- Hypnose Drama mascara, Flash Bronzer (tinted self-tanning leg gel with vitamin E) and a brush(I don't know exactly what it is for, I mean it's either a powder or a blush brush, but I'm going to use it as a blush brush as it is not big enough for using on the whole face) :)
The gel-a swatch and it blended-out right above. It has shimmer and is orangey, at least on me..Though I'm going to try it when it's warm enough outside.

Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara
The brush. It has a unique shape,I've never seen anything like this before :) And as for the mascara itself, I was not impressed...It didn't lengthen nor added volume to my lashes. But it may be only the first impression.. I'll wait until it dries a little as this seems to help with most of my mascaras :)
Me with the foundation, mascara and lipstick on.

Hope this helps! Have a nice day ;)
