Happy New Year

ENG: Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful New Year's Eve with your friends or family and made a wish at midnight! If your wish was really strong, it will come true this year without a doubt. In Russia we have a saying, "The way you welcome the New Year dictates the way you'll spend it," so everyone tries to dress up and celebrate the new year in a fun atmosphere, to ensure own luck in the next 12 months. As for me, I spent New Year's Eve at home with my love. I honestly could have just worn my pajamas, but I wanted to follow the tradition and chose a more festive outfit. So hopefully, 2014 will be kind to me and will bring me luck! Let's see what I wore that night:

RUS: Всем привет! Надеюсь вы отлично встретили Новый Год в кругу близких или друзей и загадали заветное желание в полночь. Если ваше желание было очень сильным и искренним, оно обязательно исполнится в новом году! Следуя традиции "Как встретишь Новый Год, так его и проведешь," я нарядилась и провела вечер с любимым в уютной домашней атмосфере у камина, поэтому надеюсь, что новый год будет таким же приятным и принесет мне только удачу! For my makeup, I chose a warm color palette to match the golden tones of the skirt and added some definition to the eyes with a burgundy eyeshadow.

В макияже я использовала теплую гамму, для гармонии с золотыми акцентами на юбке. Чтобы выделить глаза, я добавила немного бордовых теней в складку века.

ENG: Hello everyone! Today I'm happy to share with you the outfit I wore to my university's student awards ceremony a couple days ago. As it was kind of a formal event, I wanted to look classy, so my new Zara top (which you saw in my recent purchases) worked out perfectly for that purpose.

RUS: Всем еще раз привет! Сегодня я бы хотела поделиться с вами нарядом, который я выбрала для университетской церемонии награждения студентов несколько дней назад. Так как это было более-менее официальное мероприятие, я хотела выглядеть элегантно, с чем мне очень помогла моя новая туника от Zara (вы видели ее в моих недавних покупках).

New in. Fashion

ENG: Hi everyone! Now when I'm finally done with all my exams, I can fully enjoy summer and get ready for my trip to Russia in July. As I'm planning to travel a lot over there, I needed to get something comfy and casual. American Eagle has a great selection of casual wear, and the fact that they had 40% off entire store and then 50% off clearance items attracted me even more (I think those deals are over now, unfortunately). As for the fancy part of the haul, I got a beautiful embroidered tunic from Zara, which I had been craving for since I saw it on one of my favorite fashionistas, Olivia Palermo. And, last but not least, the Ray-Ban aviators! I was going to get the new, mirrored ones, but they looked too funny on me, so I decided on something a bit more classic.
I'm going to review my recent beauty related purchases in my next post, so stay tuned!

RUS: Всем привет! Только теперь, после сдачи экзаменов, я могу по-настоящему почувствовать лето и начать готовиться к поездке в Россию. Так как я планирую там довольно много путешествовать, мне необходима удобная одежда. Американский бренд American Eagle - отличный производитель повседневной одежды, но все же определяющим фактором для меня стали их огромные скидки, благодаря которым мне удалось купить качественные вещи по очень низким ценам. Ну а более модной частью моего шоппинга стала белая туника из Zara, о которой я мечтала с тех пор, как увидела ее на одной из моих любимых модниц, Оливии Палермо. Также я наконец-то стала обладательницой авиаторов Ray-Ban. Вообще-то я изначально хотела очки с зеркальными стеклами, но поняла, что это не мое, и остановилась на более классическом варианте.

ENG: I love walking around on campus, especially during spring and summer, when everything is in full bloom. I enjoy strolling through its shady alleys and gazing at century-old trees, magnificent buildings, and beautiful flowers, imagining I'm in some kind of enchanted garden from a fairy-tale.

My today's outfit is simple, but elegant, the skirt being the accent. Reflecting the sun, the sequins on the skirt make it glisten as I walk, while the golden necklace and bracelet complement its beauty.

RUS: Я люблю гулять по кампусу своего университета, особенно весной и летом, когда все в полном цвету. Я с наслаждением брожу по тенистым аллеям и разглядываю вековые деревья, величественные здания и великолепные цветы, представляя, будто я очутилась в каком-то зачарованном саду из сказки.

Мой сегодняшний наряд простой, но элегантный, с акцентом на золотую юбку. Отражая свет, пайетки на юбке делают ее очень искрящейся, в то время как золотые акценты в виде ожерелья и браслета дополняют ее красоту.
