The Ocean. My Love.

ENG:  An ocean of squishy sand under my boots; an ocean of heavy grey clouds above my head; an ocean of stormy waves in front of me. As I near the water, a blast of wind tousles my hair, and I inhale the salty air. I look around and feel the powerful serenity of this place - I can't hear anything besides the monotonous splashing of waves and crying of sea gulls that occasionally fly by. This place is endowed with some kind of magical power that inevitably draws me in.
Wearing my rain boots I feel as fearless as the waves, so I take a dare and play tag with them. Of course, they win, as my fear to get wet makes me quit this amusing game. I walk away from the shore towards the woody hills hidden behind the heavy fog, my boots wallowing in the ocean of sand. I slowly wander back and forth along the beach enjoying the scenery, until I stop to gaze at the setting sun peeking out from under the clouds and illuminating everything around with gold and pink colors. Approaching the water, it embraces the entire beach with its soft warm glow, accentuating the intricate ribbed relief of the sand. At last, hidden beyond the horizon, the sun is no longer able to warm us up, and the night gets chilly quickly. I nestle under my love's warm shoulder, and we walk away hugging, in anticipation of the next day of our delightful stay at the beach.

RUS: Океан мягкого песка под сапогами; океан тяжелых серых облаков над головой; океан бурных волн передо мной. Я приближаюсь к воде; порывистый ветер взъерошивает мои волосы, и я вдыхаю соленый воздух. Оглядываясь вокруг, я ощущаю могущественную безмятежность этого места - не слышно ничего, кроме монотонного плеска волн и криков чаек, изредка пролетающих мимо. Это место наделено какой-то магической силой, которая неизбежно притягивает меня вновь и вновь.
Надев резиновые сапоги, я чувствую себя такой же бесстрашной, как волны, и даже осмеливаюсь сыграть с ними в салочки. Конечно же, они выигрывают - мой страх промокнуть берет верх, и я оставляю эту забаву. Я ухожу прочь, в сторону лесистых холмов, спрятанных за густым туманом. Мои сапоги утопают в море песка. Я медленно брожу туда-сюда вдоль берега, любуясь пейзажем, а потом останавливаюсь, пристально вглядываясь в заходящее солнце, проглядывающее из-под густых облаков и озаряющее все вокруг золотыми и розовыми красками. Опускаясь ниже, оно охватывает все побережье своим теплым мягким светом, подчеркивая красоту замысловатого ребристого узора на песке. Спрятавшись за горизонтом, солнце перестает нас греть, и вечер быстро становится прохладным. Я удобно устраиваюсь под теплым плечом любимого, и мы покидаем побережье в обнимку, нетерпеливо предвкушая наш следущий день пребывания на океане.

Preppy Casual

ENG: Hello my dear readers, I hope you are all enjoying the fall! Today I want to share with you this casual outfit, which is very comfy and cozy, and great for chilly days!
I was inspired by the amazing Tommy Hilfiger ad campaign for fall 2012 that offers a mixture of equestrian and preppy styles. I really like these styles, especially during the fall, so I've decided to create something similar. I combined this berry-colored sweater with a light blue button-up shirt and paired my navy skinny jeans with a pair of riding boots. Wearing these clothes today totally got me into the fall spirit,which I really enjoyed!

Я была вдохновлена удивительной рекламной кампанией Tommy Hilfiger на осень 2012, которая предлагает нашему вниманию смесь стилей наездника и преппи. Мне очень нравятся оба этих стиля, особенно осенью, поэтому я решила создать похожий образ. Я надела этот ягодный свитер поверх светло-голубой классической рубашки, а также узкие синие джинсы и сапоги в стиле наездника. Эта одежда помогла мне полностью погрузиться в осеннюю атмосферу, чему я была очень рада!

For my makeup I'm wearing just MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural and a little bit of concealer, MAC Warm Soul blush, black eyeliner, mascara, and a berry-colored lipstick - Revlon Lip Butter in Berry Smoothie.

My thoughts on Eurovision

Hi everyone!Watching Eurovision every year became a tradition for me. This year was not an exception, despite the fact that the US channels don't broadcast it. I'm so glad that nowadays you can find almost every show online! I even sometimes watch Russian shows online, and that makes me so happy!
So well, I'm going to talk about Eurovision itself and of course its results. I really didn't like Russia's representative..he didn't have a good voice, and all in all, his performance was not outstanding. I know, I know I should be a patriot and support my country, but I just can't lie to myself. If I don't like someone's voice I'm not going to vote for them no matter what. Maybe I'm too strict about that because I myself used to take vocal classes, I don't know.
As for the winner- frankly I didn't even pay attention for Azerbaijan's performance at the beginning. I mean it was not better than 20 others. For me, there were about 3-4 really catchy songs and I thought people would have voted for them..for example those gnomes from Moldova or the funny twins from Ireland. I personally was a fan of the Ukrainian singer. She was so beautiful, her voice was very strong and the performance was very interesting- remember the lady that made pictures out of sand??

Our trip to Portland, OR

   Hello everyone!How are you today? ..Yesterday we came back from Portland,and...I've fallen in love with this city! In fact I've been there a couple times already, but that was during the winter, and now, when the sun is shining and everything is in bloom, it looks different, more beautiful and interesting! It looks a little like Moscow, but more modern I think? It's a huge city with many bridges,embankments,parks and shopping malls(quite important for me haha). Portland is also called "the city of roses", because there are several rose gardens. And, of course, there are flowers everywhere! We went to Waterfront Park and took some pictures there..
