My Vacation: Part I (Russia)

ENG: Hello everyone! I know it's been a long time since my last post, but I have a reasonable excuse: I spent about two months overseas, in Russia and Turkey, where I tried to stay away from the Internet and just enjoy traveling and meeting with my friends and family. Now I'm back in the States and have lots of pictures to share with you! Here's the first part about Russia.

Nizhny Novgorod

My mother and I stayed at this beautiful hotel, 45 km away from Nizhny Novgorod.

Saint-Petersburg

Saint Isaac's Cathedral, Saint-Petersburg

Winter Palace

Palace Square

A 4-storey Zara store is a dream!!!

Kazan Cathedral

They were racing! Who cares about police or safety in Russia? haha

Church of the Savior on Blood

If you ever decide to visit Saint-Petersburg, you must see the Peterhof Palace and the fountains. They are magnificent! (see pics below)

Laws are just guidelines, if that...

Saint-Petersburg used to be called Leningrad, literally meaning "the city of Lenin"

Singer House

contemporary communists

These houses on Nevsky Prospect are so beautiful!

Water tours in Saint-Petersburg are very popular: there are a lot of canals and you can have a closer look at the major architectural masterpieces

The famous griffins at the Bank Bridge. There is one popular belief saying that if you can reach their wings with both hands while standing in between the two, your wishes will come true. The sad thing is, you have to be a giant person to do so!

I hope you liked the pictures :) I'll do another post about Turkey very soon, so stay tuned! And how have you spend your vacation?

Надеюсь, вам понравились фотографии :) Скоро я сделаю отдельный пост о моем отдыхе в Турции, будет интресно! А как вы провели ваш отпуск или каникулы?
